BMW Active Hybrid 7 Engine

BMW launched its first Active Hybrid 7 Engine car in 2008 which was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October. After the concept of BMW X6 Active Hybrid, it was the second hybrid concept of BMW. The first fully hybrid concept was launched in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor show. After this, these two models are ready for mass production at the end of the year 2009. The BMW Active Hybrid 7 Engine series is a 5 seater car. It has petrol with automatic transmission. The top model of the 7 series is M760LixDrive.

When more power is needed, the electric motor increases performance without consuming more fuel. The BMW Active Hybrid 7 can accelerate from 0-100 in just 5.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km / h, electronically limited.

The 120-volt lithium-ion batteries will also provide the energy needed to run the car on electricity alone. The battery is charged by regenerative braking as soon as the driver brakes or accelerates. The driver can choose between five driving modes as required.

Production

The BMW Active Hybrid 7 Engine announced production in August 2009, with the collaboration of the BMW Active Hybrid X6. The BMW ActiveHybrid 7 has a 0.4 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The BMW Active Hybrid 7 Series Engine is based on the V8 twin-turbo unit High Precision Injection used in the BMW 750i (where it has an output of 300 kW / 407 hp) with an electric motor that is designed exclusively to support the combustion engine. The electric motor is integrated between the transmission and the combustion engine and provides 15 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque. You can’t deny the importance of the maintenance of a car.
